AIR PRO ELITE BARIATRIC 4430
ALTERNATING PRESSURE PAD & PUMP

PAD SYSTEM

Contains 2 sets of air cells, which alternately are inflated and deflated every two and half minutes. To minimize movement, full inflation of one set of cells occurs before the large alternate set is deflated. Large cell interlocking support pattern permits high volume of air exchange and maximum vertical excursion between relief and support modes.

Electronically welded heavy gauge premium vinyl, which is reusable, resists tearing and accidental punctures.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1. - Place the pump on a flat surface, or set pump on end of bed with attached hook.
2. - Place the pad on the top of bed mattress. Note: Foot End
3. - Connect air hoses to pump and pad. Hose ends with fittings go on pad.
4. - Check and ensure the air hoses are not kinked or tucked under mattress.
5. - Plug the power cord into outlet, switch on pump. The green switch will light when unit is operating.
6. - Adjust pressure control. Pump provides maximum effectiveness when two fingers can slide between patient’s buttocks and a deflated pad chamber. (Note: Only for Adjustable Pressure Type)

CLEANING AND STORAGE:

 Unit may be cleaned by occasionally dusting or wiping with surface germicidal disinfectant solution. Do not immerse. Do not heat or steam clean.

BEFORE PLACING THE UNIT IN STORAGE:

1. - Check the power cord and plug for abrasions or excessive wear.
2. - Plug in the unit and check the airflow from the unit hose connection port. The airflow should alternate between ports every 2 ½ minutes.
3. - Check the air hoses for kinks or breaks. Replace if necessary.
4. - If unit is operating properly, coil the hoses loosely and store with the unit in plastic sheeting to protect against moisture and dust.

CAUTION:

• - Do Not Use in the presence of smoking materials or open flame.
• - Air flowing through this pad will support combustion.

WARRANTY:

The Air Pro Elite pump and pad system are warranted against defect in material and workmanship under normal use and operation from date of manufacture for:

Pump: 12 months

Pad: 90 days 

CLEANING PROTOCOL FOR APP PUMP AND PAD
Pump

• - Wash hands thoroughly and place gloves on.
• - Place pump and hose on decontamination table or counter.
• - Spray with Madacide or other disinfectant. Do not use phenol-based disinfectants.
• - Wipe down pump and hose with paper towel.
• - Let pump and hose dry for approximately 15 minutes.

Mattress

• - Wash hands thoroughly and place gloves on.
• - Place mattress and hose on decontamination table or counter.
• - Spray with Madacide or other disinfectant. Do not use phenol-based disinfectants.
• - Wipe down top of mattress with paper towel and let sit for approximately 15 minutes.
• - Turn mattress over and repeat the cleaning process.
• - Let the mattress hang dry in a well-ventilated area for 12-24 hours.
• - Once mattress and pump are properly disinfected, place all cleaned products in plastic bags and mark “cleaned”.
